French and Spanish · live subtitles for Windows
English subtitles appear across your screen while they speak — in Teams, in Zoom, in a recorded video, or from the person sitting across the table. Nothing to install on their side. Nothing for anyone to agree to.
Windows 10 & 11 · 98 MB · version 1.0.1 · no credit card to try
Three steps, once
No accounts to create, no meeting links to paste, no bot joining the call and announcing itself to everyone.
One download, one double-click. A small subtitle icon appears in your system tray.
From anywhere — you never have to find the window mid-meeting.
Subtitles float over whatever you are doing. Clicks pass straight through them.
Two ways to listen
Live Translate listens to your computer's own sound, so it works with any application ever written — not a list of supported ones.
Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex, a YouTube video, a voicemail, a recording a client sent you. If it comes out of your speakers, it gets subtitled. The other side installs nothing and is never notified.
Switch to your microphone and the same subtitles follow a conversation happening in front of you — a site visit, a supplier meeting, a conversation at the counter that just switched out of English.
For anyone who reads slower than people talk
Subtitles move on. The transcript window keeps every line, timestamped, so you can look back at what was said two minutes ago without stopping the meeting. Scroll up and it stops chasing you.
Seven colour schemes, from phosphor green through amber CRT to a plain light scheme for anyone who finds glowing text on black hard going. Text size adjusts independently of the subtitles. Copy the whole transcript to your notes in one click.
Straight answers
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Languages | French and Spanish to English. Tick either, or both and it identifies which is being spoken. More languages are a small change away. |
| Delay | Words appear a fraction of a second behind the speaker and firm up as the sentence completes. |
| Requirements | Windows 10 or 11, and an internet connection. No GPU, no special hardware. |
| Where audio goes | Speech is transcribed by Microsoft Azure in the United States. Nothing is recorded or stored, and nothing is sent while the app sits idle. |
| The other participants | Are not notified, because nothing joins your meeting. Check your own obligations before transcribing a conversation. |
| Support | Direct from Resurgent Montreal. |
Pricing
The trial is the whole product, not a limited version. If it does not earn its place in a real meeting, you have lost nothing.
Built in Montreal
Live Translate was built by Resurgent Montreal for the way business is actually conducted here — where the agenda arrives in English, the discussion turns to French, and the important part is the part you did not catch.
